DETOXING AND CLEANSING
Detoxing is as old as mankind and has been part of the healing process for many a thousand years. The practice of detoxing has come out of fasting in which, almost every religion uses fasting as key to both physical and spiritual cleansing.
The unfortunate thing is in the modern day is that detoxification has been used as a quick fix and an instant solution for over-indulgence.
If followed correctly, embarking on a detox plan can promote many positive health benefits for you which include...increased energy levels, reduce bloating, promote radient skin,hair and nails.
It will boost the immune system, improve digestion, improve circulation and make you feel lighter and you may shed a few unwanted pounds.
Detoxing promotes better sleep and has a calming effect.
Although detoxing is an amazing way to kick start your whole inner and outer self, going back to your "normal eating habits" if they are unbalanced and unhealthy is contradictory.
This is why i have devised a 14 day plan to help re-educate you and it is a plan which will change your eating habits forever.
Why detox?
All too often in society today we live a fast paced lifestyle which has filtered into our eating habits.
Fast food and unhealthy snacks are dictating the market today and it has become easy to grab a snack here and a bar of chocolate there...which may i say is fine in moderation.
What detoxing does is re-educate your habits not just your diet.
You will learn how to prepare quick and delicious healthy nutrient packed juices and meals.
You will get the best benefits of juice fasting or cleasing if done on a monthly basis.
A one day juice fast can be done once a week if desired.
I have devised 4 different detox plans they are as follows.
1 day juice fast
2 day juice fast
3 day cleansing plan ( 2 days juice 1 day whole foods)
7 day ( 2 days juice 5 days whole foods )
14 day
All of the plans are packed full of vitamins.
Before starting any detox plan it is important the day before to prepare you system for the plan by cutting down on starchy foods such as breads, pastas, rice, potatoes.
Cut down or out caffine and this will also reduce the likeliness of headaches.
Cut down on dairy foods
Cut out alcohol
No sugary foods
Eat plenty of fresh fruits and vegatables and drink plenty of water.
